Meet Bob the Bobcat
Professor Bellisario first discovered Bob using motion-activated cameras during from the Hifi Niches Corridor Project. This moment was truly exhilarating for our team, especially for those who had never encountered a bobcat before. Witnessing this small bobcat left an impression on us, prompting the decision to designate Bob as our ambassador.

Bob's narrative serves as a powerful testament to the significance of studying corridors. It was through our exploration of these corridors that we obtained invaluable insights into the behaviors of bobcats and other species. In the specific context of bobcats, these corridors play a crucial role in facilitating population migration, a vital component for ensuring the survival of future bobcat populations.

The importance of Bobcats in Corridor Ecology
Corridors are safe spaces for animal conservation. They involve creating habitats for different endangered animals. There are local corridors in Indiana like Wolf Park and the Wildcat Wildlife Center. These animal sanctuaries help protect their animals when their habitats have been fragmented. These corridors relate to ecology as a whole due to their overwhelming effect on a species future. Without corridors, species would be isolated and lack the biodiversity needed to survive which could lead to extinction. The importance of corridors is unimaginable and they actively impact the future of species and our planet!
